Every retreat has an amazing ceremony which shares the culture and local traditions of the retreat location. It’s always such a treat to photograph as the ceremony always has such a special story to share. The Kava ceremony on retreat at ‘Ultimate Girls Week Away’, Fiji was so interesting and had everyone captivated.

Workshops are my favourite part of a retreat to photograph. It really does show the power of women coming together, learning and growing. There is such connection involved.

Last month I was the official retreat photographer at the Ultimate Girls Week Away for Liesel Albrecht at 'Retreats for Resorts’. I used my talents to capture the retreat as it unfolded. From when the attendees arrived from all corners of the globe there was a sense of excitement and anticipation.

The best part about shooting retreats is seeing the connections and friendships between the women take place and the amazing transformations that unfold. Without my photos there would be no record of these moments! And for the organiser my photos help promote and sell out future events effortlessly.
