From 1:1 clients, reiki, her online work supporting Women Without Children and surrounding ourselves in her artistic world it really was a joy. Plus being in the Perth Hills meant we could incorporate the natural bushland and Chantal’s love of nature in the photographs too…

This shoot was a first for me as I’ve never worked with a blind client before and I was slightly worried that I wouldn’t be able to communicate as effectively as I usually do. It all ran smoothly though. I helped position Tracey manually and ran through instructions more vocally than usual. Jade, her friend & support was so helpful too…

While I was in Broome Western Australia I captured Anna from Creating Balance Natural Therapies as part of my Space Holders Session. In February 2020 I was invited to be the offical retreat photographer at the Ultimate Girls Week Away in Fiji. In my work I’m always striving to combine my love of travel and photography so retreat photography is my absolute dream.

Hundreds of women from all over the world gathered in Fiji to listen to keynote speaker Elizabeth Gilbert, yes! the author of Eat Pray Love, Big Magic and City of Girls. And for me being able to photograph and document this mesmerising woman sharing her knowledge, stories and wisdom with everyone, allowing tears to flow and laughter to bubble up was a highlight.

Cathy from Infinite Bliss came along to my Small Group Shoot in Fremantle last weekend and boy did I find some vibrant colours for her photos. As she is building a new website to reflect her focus on pregnancy and postpartum massage I wanted the photos to reflect her warm, caring and nurturing side. By bringing in some natural elements, beautiful colours and fun crochet texture on a window they certainly make you top and say, ‘Wow!’.

Every retreat has an amazing ceremony which shares the culture and local traditions of the retreat location. It’s always such a treat to photograph as the ceremony always has such a special story to share. The Kava ceremony on retreat at ‘Ultimate Girls Week Away’, Fiji was so interesting and had everyone captivated.

Selling products on Amazon means that you need sharp, colour correct images with a crisp white background. To set yourself above and beyond your competitors, professional product photography is a must.

Workshops are my favourite part of a retreat to photograph. It really does show the power of women coming together, learning and growing. There is such connection involved.

For Silfath’s branding shoot in tropical heaven the phrase ‘smile and the whole world smiles with you’ comes to mind. There were so many moments of laughter and fun amongst the coconut palms. And this really shows in her photos.

Last month I was the official retreat photographer at the Ultimate Girls Week Away for Liesel Albrecht at 'Retreats for Resorts’. I used my talents to capture the retreat as it unfolded. From when the attendees arrived from all corners of the globe there was a sense of excitement and anticipation.

The best part about shooting retreats is seeing the connections and friendships between the women take place and the amazing transformations that unfold. Without my photos there would be no record of these moments! And for the organiser my photos help promote and sell out future events effortlessly.

Ingrid from VA Institute was travelling to Perth and knew it was the perfect time to book in with me to update her business portraits.

She needed new marketing photos for her website and social media needs. And of course a natural headshot for her profile, book and bios. We were both excited to give her online image an overhaul. Now her branding is aligned and looking fantastic!

I love shooting a complete rebrand which involves both location and studio photos.  I shot the portraits in Terri’s home which gave a personal touch and add to the storytelling of the images. Then we headed to the studio where I shot the photos with a plain white background. 

Work is never ‘work’ for me because I get to shoot for such wonderful business women such as Marion and Christina from Blue Edge Financial Planning.  They needed updated staff portraits and some shots of work happening in the office.
